Vista del Lago strives to produce superb pure Spanish Andalusian horses, putting great care into our breeding program. Our success is a result of selecting our horses from the finest Spain and the United States have to offer. Our mares boast parentage directly related to many of the great horses of the Andalusian world. Each year we also select at least one distinguished outside stallion to breed to, constantly adding new bloodlines to our breeding program. The superior pedigrees and quality of the dams together with the strong stamp put on the offspring by our stallion Fandango D, continues to produce foals of outstanding quality. 	GRANADO VDL : 5/2006 Bay Colt (Fandango D x Banbury Bandolera). IALHA Reg # 10246(S). Granado is a very tall, upright, colt with an incredibly sweet nature. He will easily top 16 hands. His dam has been consistently putting foals on the ground with generous bone and big movement. Granado has a ground covering stride and reaches well under himself. He also has tremendous elevation and an exquisite canter. The icing on the cake is that he also has one of the gentlest natures we’ve seen yet and accepts everything we do with him calmly. 	INTREPIDO VDL: 3/2008 P.R.E. Bay Colt (Fandango D x HP Escalante I ). IALHA Reg # 11990(S). Intrepido's dam and sire have both been revised and are in the Spanish stud book. His papers have been submitted to ANCCE and should arrive soon. Intrepido carries a black gene and when bred to black he can produce black. He will make an exceptional breeding stallion with his pedigree, conformation, movement and wonderful temperament. His dam is a solid black mare with a tremendous ground covering trot. Her breeding is Portentoso (Principe XIV x Portentosa II, bred by Paco Lazo and imported in ‘95) and out of Jibarita de la Parra who is out of the Paco Lazo mare Jibara and sired by Dejado (Escalera breeding). Intrepido is a dream to work with. He also promises to be a very athletic horse able to do whatever you aks of him, just like his sire, Fandango D and his grandsire, Bravio. 	HERMOSITA VDL: 6/20/2007 Bay Filly (Fandango D x Banbury Bandolera): IALHA Reg # 11189(S). This filly is a full sister to Granado, listed above. She is a beautiful red bay with a star as her only markings. She has a gorgeous head and a neck that comes high out of her shoulders. 	EJE VDL : 7/2004 P.R.E. Black Stallion (Axis/Ingrato IX x Teodora M). IALHA Reg # 8513(S). P.R.E Codigo 24US136. Eje is pure black with no white markings. He was DNA tested at UC Davis as homozygous for black and he has been inscribed and has his P.R.E. carta. His sire, Axis/Ingrato IX, was imported from Spain and is highly rated in the LIMPRE Book of Merits. Axis is from the famous Maluso, Agente Yeguada Militar line, known for their dressage type movement. Eje's dam is by the 16.1 hand bay National Champion stallion Teodoro, a many time National Champion in both Halter and Performance. Eje is incredibly intelligent and learns very quickly. 	ENTERO VDL: 2004 Bay Colt (Fandango D x Oneida). Reg # 8459(S). This youngster is a show stopper. He is a very correct colt with the dressage type movement of his dam and sire. Entero is a colt for the serious dressage competitor who is also looking for a spectacular herd sire. He is a willing, gentle colt with a very level head. 	FIANZA VDL: 2005 Gray Filly (Fandango D x Regalada). Reg # 9245(S). Born in May, this is probably Regalada's finest foal yet. 	FUTURO VDL: 2005 Bay PRE Colt (Fandango D x Jicara II). Reg # 9246(S). What a colt. Tall, big boned and tons of charisma! He is lovely moving colt, lots of suspension and power to spare. 	DRAMATICO VDL: 04/2003 Bay PRE Colt (Fandango D x Jicara II). Reg # 7215(S). This has proven to be an exceptional cross in the past and this year was no exception. Truly, he is the cream of the crop. This colt a full brother to Centelleo and Exquisito shown below (both sold). Centelleo is currently in dressage training in Northern California and Mimi and her trainer, Christiane Noelting are thrilled with his progress. Dramatico, too, will have great dressage potential. He is tall and is a very free moving and graceful youngster. On top of that, he has a very willing, co-operative disposition. 	DANTE VDL: 04/2003 Grey Colt (Fandango D x Regalada). Reg # 7214(S). Born almost black, this colt will grey. He is a full brother to Amuleto shown below (sold). He has his mother's refinement and her calm nature. He is extremely athletic and FAST. Here is your future Doma Vaquera horse. 	CENTELLEO: 1999 gray colt (Fandango D x Jicara II). Reg # 4781(S). This colt is lovely, with an elastic trot and lots of brio. He literally floats! He has grace, strength and a kind mind.
