Vista del Lago strives to produce superb pure Spanish Andalusian horses, putting great care into our breeding program. Our success is a result of selecting our horses from the finest Spain and the United States have to offer. Our mares boast parentage directly related to many of the great horses of the Andalusian world. Each year we also select at least one distinguished outside stallion to breed to, constantly adding new bloodlines to our breeding program. The superior pedigrees and quality of the dams together with the strong stamp put on the offspring by our stallion Fandango D, continues to produce foals of outstanding quality. ESTRELLA DE NOCHE VDL: 4/13/2006 P.R.E. BLACK Mare (Navarano MHF x HP Escalante I ). IALHA Reg # 10459(S). Spanish Codigo (ANCCE) # 7240150601EU012. "Stella" is a very correct, true to type, well bred mare. She was shown as a two year old and was named the IALHA Region One Champion Two and Under Filly, winning the Gold Medal Movement award, as well as being named the USEF HOY Regional Reserve Champion Halter Horse. She is sired by Navarano MHF whose sire is Doctor XVI and his gransire is Navarre GF. Stella's dam is a black P.R.E. gem who consistently produces quality offspring. See her dam on our Mare page. KAISER VDL: 4/2/2010 P.R.E. BLACK Colt (Axis/Ingrato IX x HP Escalante I ). IALHA Reg # Pending. Spanish Codigo (ANCCE) # Pending. Kaiser is a black colt out of two black P.R.E. parents. He has a very bold, self assured personality. Both his dam and sire have extremely calm natures and lovely movement. His sire, Axis/Ingrato IX is sired by Lebriano III, who in turn was sired by Agent whose sire is the famous Yeguada Military stallion Maluso. The bloodlines of the Yeguada Militar, Spain’s Military Stud, carry a reputation worldwide and have a rich history in the breeding of the P. R. E. Maluso (1949) is the first name in a line of influential stallions bred by the Yeguada Militar. He has been referred to as the ’power behind the throne.’ Maluso's lines are known for breeding true to type with incredible movement perfect for dressage. Agente (1959) is almost certainly the most famous son of Maluso. He has been said to be a point of focus for the Military Stud breeding program. His offspring have expressed a notably elastic movement that carried through the line, and laid the foundation of the success of the Spanish horse in dressage. Axis' sire, the Agente son, Lebrijano III, also sired Invasor, who won Olympic Silver in 1996. Kaiser's dam is a solid black mare with a tremendous ground covering trot. Her breeding is Portentoso (Principe XIV x Portentosa II, bred by Paco Lazo and imported in ‘95) and out of Jibarita de la Parra who is out of the Paco Lazo mare Jibara and sired by Dejado (Escalera breeding).
