Vista del Lago Foundation Mares

The common qualities in each of our brood mares are their kind temperaments and generous spirits. Each mare has exceptional bloodlines and is an extraordinary individual in her own right.

Oneida (Jugueton V x Briosa IV) 4/91 is an exceptional mare with quality stamped all over her pedigree. Bred by Luis Bonilla, her sire is Jugueton V, a celebrated Champion of Spain originally from the Cardenas stud. Jugueton V has sired numerous US National Champions and is equally well known as a proven sire of quality broodmares who go on to produce National Champion offspring.  Oneida stands 16.2 and has the much sought after dressage type movement. She is graceful and unbelievably agile for such a large mare. Although she is kind and affectionate, she has the presence of a stallion, prompting the Spanish revison team to ask for the mare instead of the stallion when she was presented! Oneida is approved by the Cria Caballar.
