Fandango D is the cornerstone of our breeding program. This magnificent 16.1 hand bay Andalusian stallion is captivating. He possesses tremendous brio, yet he is kind and gentle. Bred on the Denham Ranch in Texas, he is sired by the multi-national champion stallion Bravio who has earned championships in over 6 disciplines. His dam is Briosa D, a mare with bold, powerful movement who was brought from Spain to the United States in utero.
Fandango D is registered in the United States with the International Andalusian and Lusitano Horse Association (IALHA), and in Spain with the Cria Caballar as an approved breeding stallion. He is also an approved foundation sire for the Spanish-Norman Registry, the Iberian Warmblood Registry and the Azteca registries. Fandango is extremely athletic, and coupled with his commanding presence and generous spirit, he is breathtaking whether doing exhibitions at liberty or competing in performance classes. Fandango began his show career in 2000. With his elegant, dressage movement and tractable mind, he is well suited to the Spanish Doma Vaquera discipline in which he won the Doma Vaquera Championship at Celebration 2000. In the same year be also performed in exhibitions, both at liberty and under saddle. In 2003 and 2004 he competed very successfully at open dressage shows, Foundation shows and the IALHA breed shows winning a number of National titles. He is currently focusing on his breeding career! His offspring are a testament to his ability to pass his strengths on to his babies. Fandango is currently standing at stud and you can see his folas on our sales list.
